Our flight from buenos aires to Mendoza got in at 11:30pm. We had to catch a bus from Mendoza to las lenas but the bus ticket office was closed. Luckily there was a bus at 1am. So we had a 6 hour bus ride to las lenas. We can't check into our hotel until 4pm so might as well ride the day. I feel like i've spent more time here at bus stations and airports than in my entire life. Oh well it's the perfect day to ride. Not too cold and the sun is out.
We had a great time at the igauzu fall yesterday. Lots of different wildlife and amazing views of the falls. This our dog Paco which we found roaming the streets. Last night he came back to our hostel with us and even made a beer run with us. Too bad we have to leave the little guy behind. We have a flight and a bus to catch today to get to las lenas. From the jungle to the snow.
We just left buenos aires while raining to go to puerto iguazo which is so humid that the airplane windows were wet when we landed. Right now this weather is very unusual for this time of year. It is winter right now and it's hot with mosquitos. We will venture to iguazu water falls tomorrow as well as a safari. Hope to see some monkeys and snakes.
Every Tuesday at noon, San Francisco tests the Outdoor Warning System. This thing is crazy. Sounds like SF is gonna go down like Pearl Harbor. Look out for those Kamakasis.
For your KNOWLEDGE: During the test the siren emits a 15 second alert tone. In an actual emergency, the siren tone will cycle repeatedly for 5 minutes. Should you hear the sirens at any time other than Tuesday at noon, go indoors and immediately tune to a news source such as KCBS 740 AM, or other local media stations.
